The Challenge:​
The UK’s most vulnerable households are facing increasing energy insecurity, yet policy and regulatory responses remain fragmented. To shape a more coordinated and lasting approach, British Gas Energy Trust (BGET) needed to bring together frontline experts to gather insights and inform government engagement.​

The Work:​
Skating Panda supported the design and delivery of roundtables across the UK, bringing in representatives from frontline charities, suppliers, and industry bodies to inform a united advocacy position. With leadership of Skating Panda, the resulting paper, ‘Toward an end to fuel poverty’ was launched in Parliament and has since catalysed ongoing ministerial engagement.​

The Impact:​
The roundtables amplified the voices of frontline organisations working directly with those most affected by fuel poverty. The resulting policy paper strengthened BGET’s advocacy ahead of a ministerial roundtable and now supports wider efforts to drive stable, equitable energy policy change across the sector.​
