AstraZeneca

Accelerating youth-led action on Non-Communicable Diseases

The Challenge

AstraZeneca’s Young Health Programme, needed a way to align 15 global young leaders around a shared advocacy vision and turn that into a global plan that could mobilise youth worldwide.

The Work

We designed and facilitated a structured series of interactive online workshops (via Miro) guiding participants from bold vision statement to strategic priorities and tactical actions. Our role was to:

• Hold space for 15 voices to be heard
• Plan effectively, so each person could understand and contribute in a meaningful way.
• Inspire the group by working with subject matter experts to deliver one-off sessions alongside the main workshops.
• Synthesising raw workshop outputs into a cohesive document.
• Strengthening credibility by engaging UNICEF, Plan International and LSE as strategic review partners, with the ambition of securing broader endorsement and amplification

The Impact

• A process that was defined as “a real partnership” by our participants
• A unified, youth-led global advocacy plan building directly on the Kigali Youth Declaration
• Clear, practical entry points for young people worldwide to advance the NCD movement
• Cross-sector input from leading global health and youth institutions
